It’s hard to believe it’s only been four months since Daniels Spectrum opened its doors as the new cultural hub in Regent Park. People from all over the city have flocked to the building for art exhibitions, film screenings, concerts, dance and poetry festivals, fundraisers, meetings, speaker series, conferences and private events. It seems like there’s always something going on!

We’ve put together a collection of some of the most popular events from Daniels Spectrum’s opening season. Best of Luxury with Grand Touring at Artscape Wychwood Barns

On May 16, 2013, Artscape Wychwood Barns welcomed 700 lucky guests by-invitation-only for Grand Touring Automobiles’ Best of Luxury event. Parked inside and outside the building were 19 luxury (and super-luxury) models, including the 2013 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, which recently set the record as the world’s fastest convertible.

Last weekend was The Cake Show! Always a popular event at Artscape Wychwood Barns, The Cake Show is an annual cake design competition presented by Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionery Arts.

Applied Arts Exhibit & Expo 2011

This past October, Artscape Wychwood Barns hosted the 2011 Applied Arts Award Winners Exhibit & Creative Schools Expo which showcased more than 900 winning pieces from Applied Art Magazine’s prestigious annual competitions in advertising, design, illustration, interactive, photography, and printing. The show also featured winning creations by art students, which were quite impressive!

According to Applied Arts, more than 1100 high schools students attended the two-day event to see the exhibition, learn about creative post-secondary programs and listen to industry speakers.
