On January 23, Target Canada announced $250,000 in funding for Pathways to Education’s Healthy Minds program at an event at Daniels Spectrum, Pathways to Educations headquarters. Michael ‘Pinball’ Clemons was the event’s special guest, inspiring the crowd with his opening remarks and acting as the evening’s master of ceremonies.

Guests got to know more about the impact of Pathways programs from youths whose lives had been impacted by them. The event took advantage of the built-in bar in Artscape Lounge and augmented the space with bright pop-up counters to accommodate a plethora of tasty treat.

The first annual Artscape Extravaganza: Hall Pass treated tuxedo-clad guests to a back-to-school adventure—a party in the halls with no detention that raised $375,000 the Artscape Youngplace capital campaign. We wouldn’t have been able to achieve this goal without our Hall Pass sponsors URBANCORP, THE DALTON COMPANY LTD., Alterna Savings and BMO Financial Group.

Extravaganza took advantage of the unique layout of Artscape Youngplace to create an event unlike any other this city had seen.

Boo! at the Barns has become a much-anticipated Hallowe’en tradition for families in the St. Clair West neighbourhood. This year, we partnered with organizers the Wychwood Barns Community Association (WBCA) to present Boo! at the Barns: Heroes vs. Zombies on Saturday, October 26 at Artscape Wychwood Barns. Up to 1,300 fabulously costumed guests attended this free all-ages Hallowe’en party that featured games, arts and crafts, live music, buskers, dancing, and great food and drinks.

Read on to enjoy more photos of the event by Wild Little Hearts Photography, or view an extended album on Facebook.

Chantal & Adam’s Wedding

Chantal & Adam’s intimate outdoor wedding at Artscape Gibraltar Point was threatened by rain, but the clouds parted just in time for a romantic ceremony on the beach. As a bonus, the weather scared away all the summer sun-seekers so they had the beach all to themselves!

From the Bride:

Our experience at Artscape overall was great!  Our guests loved the venue, the chartered ferry ride and the beach (very clean thanks to the rain). Many people at the wedding were from out of town and have never been to this part of Toronto before so that was awesome.
