Artscape Gibraltar Point is a peaceful beachfront arts centre on the Toronto Islands, just a 10-minute ferry ride away from downtown. The facility is brimming with creative energy—home to artist work studios, a busy artist residency program and exciting arts and cultural events. The building is surrounded by over 46 acres of parkland and is steps way from a beautiful sandy beach with stunning views of Lake Ontario. Nearby is the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, Toronto’s oldest landmark.
Artscape Gibraltar Point is open year-round and operates as a social enterprise. Revenues from venue rentals support the building’s cultural programming and services.

Outdoor Capacity: South Lawn (300), West Lawn (1500)
Wedding Capacity: Capacity 160 to ensure adequate space to relocate indoors in the event of rain. Larger weddings are required to rent a tent from our supplier Chairman Mills.

Good Neighbour Policy
With artists working and living on site, Artscape Gibraltar Point has a Good Neighbour Policy that applies to every function. Events must conclude by 12:00 am (guests to begin exiting). Please note that all tenants have 24/7 access to the artist areas of the building and may even choose to leave their studio doors open for your guests to enjoy their artwork.
